My sister and I founded Together We See in 2007. The goal of our foundation is to raise money to send blind and disabled children to camp in Northern Florida for a wonderful summer experience. I am legally blind but have never let this disability stand in my way and have been privileged enough to have many great opportunities. I have been running for ten years competing in 5k’s, half marathons, and spring and Olympic triathlons. I feel it is pivotal for these underprivileged children to have a great summer, interacting with other children in similar circumstances. Each year our aim is to raise a minimum of $10,000 and over the past four years, we have raised over $45,000. Seeing that this is my last year in high school and I will be going away to college next Fall, although the foundation will definitely continue as it has now (even with my sister attending college), this will be my last big fundraiser.
